By Tracy Brown, Class of 1979, Chair, 100 Year Anniversary Celebration
Eagles continue to soar high as plans are underway to celebrate Grover Cleveland High School’s 100th anniversary in 2027. Our Anniversary Celebration Committee recruitment is underway to ensure diverse, inclusive, and heartfelt programs and events.
The anniversary celebration will commemorate Cleveland’s alumni and students, and our past and present faculty, and administrators who continue to make us proud of their service to our school, community, and country. Our celebration will be an opportunity to demonstrate that Cleveland High School will continue to be a beacon of education excellence. It will be a commitment to our students and a display of appreciation for our administration, faculty, and graduates who strive to make a positive contribution to our community and public service.
Cleveland High School students, administration, and faculty will continue to soar throughout the next 100 years. We embody the symbolism of “rising like a phoenix.” When faced with adversity, we emerge stronger and more powerful. We are more than survivors – we are thrivers! We honor our obligation to each other, to our school’s educational excellence, and to our honored Eagles who committed their lives and service to our country. We know our strength is grounded in the spirit we value in each other regardless of racial or cultural identity.
Please contact me, Tracy Brown, Class of 1979, former Sophomore Class President, if you are interested in serving on our 100-Year Anniversary Committee.
