Shared from CHS PTSA:
Editor’s note: It was announced by the Seattle Public Schools Superintendent and School Board that part of the budget cuts for the 2025-2026 school year would include capping the attendance at 660 students at Cleveland High School. The school has a capacity of 900 students, with a waiting list of over 100 students. During the 9th grade Open House in the Fall of 2024, over 500 families and students attended, many with the hopes of being able to attend CHS. The capping of students will require a reduction in staff, cut in class offerings, affect many programs, and will reduce the number of students participating in clubs and sports.
