CHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, MAY 16, 2025 11:59 PST
The Cleveland High School Alumni Association (CHSAA) is offering scholarship grants to eligible Class of 2025 Cleveland High School graduates for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. Scholarships are granted to students who will be attending college, universities, vocational, technical schools or institutions. Each grant will be deposited into the recipient’s selected college, university, or vocational/technical school or institution upon verification of admission acceptance and enrollment. Questions? ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Be a graduating senior of Seattle’s Cleveland High School 

2. Meet admission requirements of selected college, university, vocational or technical school. 

3. Enrolled as a full-time (or minimum of 10 quarter hours) student in 2025 academic year.(If you take advantage of South Seattle Community College’s free first year, this scholarship may be deferred until the following year.)

CHECKLIST: APPLICATION, 2 ESSAYS, 2 LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION, AND OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
1. Submit this completed APPLICATION, with 2 ESSAYS attached.

2. Attach 2 LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION, at least one from your instructor/faculty member.

3. Ask the CHS Registrar (https://clevelandhs.seattleschools.org/resources/counseling/student-records-request/) to send your OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT to scholarships@clevelandalumsea.org.

APPLICATION

PHOTO RELEASE & PARENT SIGNATURE
If awarded a Cleveland High School Alumni Association (CHSAA) scholarship, you will be asked to provide a wallet sized photo and may write a brief self-profile to be published in CHSAA newsletter and affiliated social media platforms. In addition, we will require your parent or guardian to provide authorization to use your photograph and profile to promote the scholarship program and announce recipient awards. Please have your parent or guardian sign the following statement and submit with the application.
