Alumni Reconnect, Reminisce, and Give Back during a Memorable Evening in Seattle

On July 27, 2024, the Cleveland High School Class of 1984 gathered to celebrate their 40th reunion, a milestone that brought together old friends and rekindled fond memories. The event kicked off with a nostalgic tour of Cleveland High School, led by Principal Jeff Lam. The tour highlighted the school’s impressive advancements, including its focus on college prep and STEM education. Walking through the familiar halls brought back a flood of memories, and the recent remodel of the school left everyone impressed with its new look.

Following the tour, the celebration continued at Baja Bistro, a popular Mexican restaurant located on Beacon Hill. The reunion provided a wonderful opportunity to catch up with classmates, some of whom hadn’t seen each other in decades. Despite the short planning time, the turnout was remarkable, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy. The food and drinks at Baja Bistro were exceptional, and the Class of ’84 is grateful to the restaurant’s owners for their warm hospitality.

The attendees included Janie White, Bruce Loyd, Tracy (Murray) Hamm, Lee Momon, Jessica Forsythe, Nancy (Ness) Hoult, Janice (Hartzell) Foy, Robert LaGuardia, Erin Mamon, Mack Moses, Margaret Dofredo Gabutero, Stephanie Washington, Linda Oloans-Hobbs, Shalina (Strocsher) Johnson, Lillen (Wong) Namba, Calvin Tam, Po Wai, Erin (Panny) Munoz, Rick Burmaz, Mark Pedersen, Will Terry, Rodel Hipolito, Ria (Estrada) Rambayan, Mary Jane (Estrada) Ondrade, Gretel (Stoican) Patoc, May Victoria Alipao, and Mike Nakahara.

In the spirit of giving back, the Class of ’84 is also making a donation to the Cleveland High School PTSA as part of their Reunion Challenge.
