Dear Alumni,
I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I wanted to share some important updates with you all.
On June 29, 2023, we held an “URGENT” Special Board meeting in person at the call of our President, Bernie Moskowitz. The purpose was to address concerns raised by our board members regarding the generous donation of $15,000 for the 2030 Veteran Project from our former board member, Alison Sing. We value the dedication and support of our board members in making our projects a reality.
Our subsequent Board Meeting occurred on September 16, 2023, where we continued our essential discussions. Please mark your calendars for our next Board Meeting on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, which will be available in person and via Zoom. Our Next Annual Meeting will occur on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
The Memorial Day event at the Memorial Forest on Friday, May 26, 2023, was a resounding success, with a remarkable turnout. The event highlighted the need to expand the parking area, as cars (and people) could only leave once the outermost vehicles departed.
In support of our local community, we made the following contributions:
- $5,402.25 to the Cleveland Stem High School Track Team for Uniforms.
- $250.00 for Two Football Team Banners memorializing two former CHS football players in the Torchlight Parade.
- $1,835.00 to the Cleveland Stem High School PTSA for Football Uniforms, generously donated through Boeing Gift Matching.
In 2023, we allocated $10,000 for Annual Scholarships, a testament to our commitment to education and our future leaders.
